Description

In-Person Food Manager class, compliant with Louisiana Department of Health standards for Food Safety Manager certification. Prerequisite requirement for the LDH Food Safety Manager Certificate ("Gold Seal")


Book Pickup Options:
Decide how you want to receive your course book:

  • Prior to Class:
    • Add Shipping & Handling to receive your book before the class.
    • Local attendees can call ahead and pick up the book from our office.
  • On Class Day:
    • If you do not choose the shipping option, you will receive your book on the day of the class.

ServSafe Manager Exam Language Options:
The exam is available in multiple languages:

  • Languages Available:
    • English, Spanish, Chinese 
    • If you need Korean, French, Japanese, or Large Print, please contact the office for details.
  • Special Accommodations:
    • If you need a reader or translator, please contact the office for details.

Policies and Procedures for Class:

Class Timing and Arrival:
Be aware of the class schedule and when to arrive:

  • Start Time: 9:30 a.m. sharp
  • End Time: Around 5:30 p.m.
    • Arrival Time: Do not arrive before 9 a.m. as the building will be closed.
    • Arrive between 9 and 9:30 a.m.

 

What to Bring: 
Ensure you have the necessary items for the class:

  • Valid I.D.
  • No. 2 Pencil
  • Textbook with the black and white answer sheet (if received before class).

 

Important Notes:
Keep these in mind to avoid additional fees or rescheduling:

  • Answer Sheet:
    • Required to take the test.
    • Replacement cost: $40 if forgotten.
    • Reschedule cost: $30 if you choose to reschedule.
  • Lost Textbook:
    • Replacement cost: $75 (if available from the instructor on the exam day).

Preparation Resources:
Use the provided resources to prepare for the class:

  • Practice Exam:
    • A 40-question practice exam and answer key are provided in your confirmation email.

Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy:

If You Need to Reschedule: Understand the fees and limitations for rescheduling:

  • No Refunds for cancellations or no-shows.
    • Rescheduling Fee: $30 (must be within 90 days of the original test date).
  • Extended Rescheduling:
    • Full course fee applies if rescheduled more than 90 days after the original test date. No second textbook will be provided.
  • Rescheduling Limits:
    • You can reschedule twice. After that, full course fee applies.
